Description

The research group "Stellar Physics and Exoplanets" is led by Prof. Katja Poppenhaeger, who holds a joint appointment between the University of Potsdam and the Leibniz Institute for Astrophysics Potsdam. We investigate the properties of exoplanets and their host stars through multiwavelength observations with ground-based and space-based observatories, as well as through numerical simulations. The research group consists of about 20 researchers who focus on a variety of sub-topics, such as exoplanet atmospheres, exoplanet populations, stellar rotation, and stellar magnetic activity. We welcome related applications through the Marie Sklodowska-Curie program. If you are interested, please contact the group leader via email (kpoppenhaeger (at) aip.de or poppenhaeger (at) uni-potsdam.de).
