We are looking for passionate postdocs that are willing to apply for the Marie Curie Individual Fellowships (MCIF) 2019 call (deadline September 2019) to join the group of Professor Frédéric Amant at Amsterdam (UMC) (The Netherlands). Selected candidates will receive dedicated support from my group to write a successful proposal (see below).
The overarching goal of our group is to investigate the ethiopathology and therapeutic problems of various cancers in women. Our research consists of 4 pillars:
-Cancer diagnosed during Pregnancy
-Immunotherapy of gynecological cancers
-Basic clinical and non-clinical gynecological research including platinum resistance retection
-Patient-Derived Tumor Xenografts.
For the Marie Curie IF call of 2019, we are looking for postdoc(s) with experience in:
-epigenetics or genomic assays to carry out a project to evaluate DNA damage of fetal samples of infants that were exposed to chemotherapy in the womb; or
-in metabolomics, microbiome or pharmacology, to evaluate the composition of breast milk after a cancer diagnosis or cancer treatment.
Successful candidates will join a dynamic, young and well-equipped research group with a multidisciplinary research environment in the gynecological oncology field. Selected candidates will become coordinator of the project and gain tremendous technical, management and academic skills that will enhance your academic CV.
Selected candidates , will have a chance to apply for a travel grant to help with the preparation of the proposal. They will also be eligible to attend an intensive Master Class in how to write Marie Curie proposals.
Eligibility for applicants:
-Meet the eligiblity requirements for the MSCA-IF fellowships (more details here:
-PhD degree in a relevant field (cell biology, oncology, gynecology,…).
-Publications in top ranking scientific journals.
-English fluency and good interpersonal and communication skills.
