Outline

The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Research Fellowship is funded by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation to promote further research training of German researchers in Japan. The selection committee meets three times per year, in February, June and October.

What is funded

Stipend of 362,000 JPN/month

Duration

1-24 months

Eligibility

Applicants must be German citizens or are permanent residents of Germany and must not be citizens or permanent residents of Japan. Applicants must have received their doctoral degree within the past 6 years.
