Juniorprofessur for „Human-Computer Interaction for Scientific Software” (W1)
Starting 1. July 2022.
We seek a renown expert in different aspects of user friendliness and the design of human-computing interfaces for software for scientific data analysis. Exemplary areas of specialization are innovative methods for model-based interface generation, usage of machine learning algorithms to improve user satisfaction, or empirical investigations regarding the efficiency and ease-of-use of systems; other topics are welcome as well. Candidates should have a strong track record of internationally visible publications and research projects.
The professorship will be integrated into the Collaborative Research Center 1404 „FONDA – Foundations of Workflows for Large-Scale Scientific Data Analysis“. Accordingly, experiences and competencies in interdisciplinary research settings involving analysis of scientific data are especially welcome. We also value prior experiences in university teaching.
The applicants must meet the legal requirements for professorial appointments in accordance with § 102a of the `Berliner Hochschulgesetz´.
