Offer Description

We are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate or Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team and explore the future of energy transition under the umbrella of alternative economic paradigms (degrowth, postgrowth..) or sustainable economic models. This exciting role invites candidates with a multidisciplinary background in economic ecology, sociology, philosophy, or related fields to contribute to cutting-edge research on sustainable energy systems.

Skills/Qualifications

MSc or PhD in economics, economic ecology, sociology, philosophy, or related interdisciplinary fields.
    Deep understanding of green growth, postgrowth, and degrowth theories, with the ability to apply them to energy systems and policy analysis.
    Strong background in economic modeling, multisectorial analysis, and life-cycle assessment.
    Passion for sustainability research and the ability to integrate multiple disciplinary perspectives into complex problem-solving.

Specific Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

    Conduct advanced research on economic models for the energy transition, focusing on alternative economic paradigms or sustainable economic models.
    Investigate the societal, economic, and environmental implications of various energy transition pathways, developing actionable insights for policymakers.
    Contribute to publications in high-impact academic journals and collaborate with a diverse team of experts from multiple disciplines.
