Offer Description

We are looking for a motivated Data Scientist with experience in data management to support the work of the Data Analytics Platform at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR) to start July 1, 2024, or after agreement.

About us
The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR) was established in 2010 to conduct fundamental research on metabolism. The Center has around 260 employees, consisting of 21 research groups and 5 technology platforms, who work in a vibrant international research environment with a focus on interdisciplinary collaboration. Our researchers share a common purpose as they seek to transform the basic understanding of the mechanisms involved in metabolic health and disease, and to accelerate this knowledge toward new prevention and treatment strategies. The Center’s research has resulted in seminal discoveries as to how genes, hormones, and environmental factors influence metabolic health and disease throughout life. You can read more about us here: www.cbmr.ku.dk.

The Data Analytics Platform sits at the heart of CBMR and consists of seven full-time employees. The Platform supports CBMR research by providing expertise and support for data management and processing to scientists. In total, we integrate data from >500,000 biological samples and our measurements include information on genetic variation and other omics data, anthropometrics and biochemical measurements. The Data Analytics Platform also operates a high-performance compute cluster. Read more about the platform at https://cbmr.ku.dk/research-facilities/data-analytics/
